In furniture manufacturing, equipment assembly or commercial space construction, casters are small but play a vital role in flexibility, convenience and user experience. For purchasers or product development teams, the key to choosing the right casters lies not only in material and appearance, but also in the matching of their functional type, installation method and load-bearing capacity.

Classification by function: meet different movement and control needs
Fixed casters: can only move in a straight line, suitable for occasions that require a stable running track, such as filing cabinets, booth bases, etc. Simple structure and good load-bearing performance.

Universal casters: The wheel frame can rotate 360° to achieve omnidirectional movement, which is very suitable for scenes with small space or frequent U-turns, such as trolleys, display stands, etc.

Casters with brakes: usually a brake device is added to the universal caster, which can be moved flexibly and locked in place, taking into account flexibility and safety. It is an ideal choice for furniture, electrical appliances, etc.

Invisible casters: The wheel body is almost invisible after installation. It is usually hidden at the bottom of the cabinet or in the frame. It pays more attention to aesthetics and concealment. It is widely used in mid-to-high-end custom furniture, display props, etc.

Classification by installation method: Adapt to the installation requirements of different structures
Screw casters: The threaded rod is screwed into the reserved hole at the bottom of the furniture or equipment. It is easy to install and is commonly used in wooden furniture, office cabinets, and equipment tripods.

Plug-in casters: The plug-in structure is mostly used in round tubes and hollow structures. It is easy to install and is commonly used in folding furniture and iron furniture.

Bottom plate casters: Fixed on the load-bearing surface through the four holes of the bottom metal plate, it has strong stability and large load-bearing capacity. It is often used in commercial equipment, industrial carts and other occasions.

Embedded casters: The casters are completely embedded in the internal structure of the furniture. The wheels cannot be seen on the surface. The main appearance is neat and suitable for high-end custom furniture and invisible mobile devices.

Classification by load-bearing capacity: full coverage of light, medium and heavy
Light casters: The load-bearing capacity is generally below 40kg, suitable for light load scenes such as daily home, office trolleys, children's furniture, etc., focusing on quietness, beauty and lightness.

Medium casters: The load-bearing capacity is mostly between 50~150kg. It is the main product in commercial furniture, electrical appliance bases, and storage equipment, taking into account strength and smooth movement.

Heavy casters: The load-bearing capacity can reach more than hundreds of kilograms, often equipped with thickened brackets and large-size wheels, suitable for high-load applications such as factory equipment, warehouse platform vehicles, and heavy machinery.
